You really enjoyed editing this episode, kristoffer. I was laffin at the lil sounds inserted here and there although that kid flash in a pan - I don’t get it XP
I take first, yes! Parang karera ah!
I miss Burger Machine and I actually remember those theme songs that MG was singing hehehe.
Wow so much more energy on this particular show. Did you guys drink coffee beforehand:) I love this podcast, whether it’s low energy, high energy, Pinoy topics, no Pinoy topics, rants, whatever…the randomness is great.
I used to wait tables in a restaurant called Uno’s Pizzeria. Deep dish pizzas mostly but they had these huge 1/2 pound burgers and that’s before the toppings; cheeses, mushrooms, bacon. My favorite however is a chain called “In and Out”. You can order as many patties as you want on it, although you should stop at 3 and just get another burger. Greasy, tasty and if you want it messier order it with grilled onions on top (animal style).
I love Manong Guard in this episode. Now if only if he keeps up this non-ranting, non-monotone and lively self, then there’s hope for this podcast after all. More shows like this!
mishi - i found my sweet spot for my edits: as soon as i get the raw files i listen to them while at work. heheh. then i take notes down at the times where i should insert what where. then when i get home it’s Sonar+Sounddogs.com for me. i would’ve inserted the Burger Machine and Cindy’s jingles too if i found them…
KFX, I had an X-Box core system I got at Target for $299 a few months ago. I sold it on Ebay, for $500. If I knew you wanted it, you would have one. Want me to try and find another one?
Re: Booger Machine, my fav was Minute Burger. I used to buy 4 chicket burgers at 4am after a night of drinking. I also dated a chick who used to work at Tropical Hut. I discussed it on one of our episodes.
Re: KFX and history, A Past Revisited by Renato Constantino. BTW, I’m starting a Constantino site if anyone is interested.

I do agree that Manong Guard had a different energy this time. I was bored at first though. Maybe i just need to get used to random topics in listening to podcasts. Anywayz, cant wait for the next one..

Huwat ???? di na masarap yung sansrival nila ? I haven’t eaten in Burger Machine for a long time… I wanted to one time sa may Cainta kaya lang some of the people hanging out there looked like goons.
Burger Machine, outside Perpetual Village, Pulang Lupa, Las PiƱas, I with two friends and the 3 a.m. munchies…
Burger Machine girl: “Sir, dine in, o take out?”
Friend1: “Bakit, pwede ba jan sa loob? Ha ha.”
Burger Machine girl: “Si sir talaga…”
Friend2: “Ikaw miss, pwede ka ba i-take out?”
Burger Machine girl: “Kung gusto nyo, hintayin nyo end ng shift ko, sir.”
Friend2: “…”
Friend1: “Wahaha! Barado ka, ‘no!?”
I enjoyed this one. Some side comments while listening to the mp3 (while on my way to Bulacan):
Yeah… the Burger Machine joint did not evolve that much after years… Indeed, the Burger Machine’s not Burger Machine without the coleslaw. A burger that exceeds the size of the bun, cabbage, mayo and WATER?! Hahaha true!
And that Burger Machine jingle… that went way before the Eheads were hired to do the “Halika tikman ang langit…” ad. Galing!
It’s always a delight to hear ManongGuard and Rickey sing.
Yup. A Past Revisited by Renato Constantino is a good book about Philippine history. Discussing the ideas from the book made history classes in UP a little bit… uh… interesting. Note: Do not get any books by the Zaides.

So Mishi can’t eat big ones?
March 22nd, 2006 at 2:53 pm
Obet, I prefer them small because my mouth is small but occasionally I’d stuff a big one in. How about you? You prefer them big, right?
The biggest one I’ve eaten is the King from Snack Plaza in Bacolod City. It’s diameter can be compared to a regular plate, not platito.
I didn’t eat a lot of burgers back in the Philippines though.
March 22nd, 2006 at 9:12 pm
I don’t eat burgers. I like tacos.
March 23rd, 2006 at 12:36 am
Ultimate Double Burger rocks! There’s a Burger Machine joint at the corner of our street so I stop by once in a while. ;p
March 23rd, 2006 at 1:07 am
The best tacos are the ones that aren’t americanized.
March 23rd, 2006 at 1:30 am
I like all tacos. Pinay, white, whatever…..
