I love Bugs Bunny!

2nd as always

It was Daffy Duck who sang Aloha Oe in Duck Amuck. A lot of songs came from the Merry Melodies and Looney Tunes shorts. Yosemite Sam would be my favourite character. Also Foghorn Leghorn. It is a joy to watch those shows again from time to time. Although the new shows are also fun to watch.
January 24th, 2006 at 3:33 am
Haha! So your new man on the street is also a bit of a mystery as well. Great show, guys!
Cartoons nowadays are so violent, usually centered on war or battles - Anime, for example. There’s nothing like the Looney Tune / Merry Melodies classics: good ol’, clean fun, like dropping a piano or safe on someone’s head.
January 24th, 2006 at 5:31 am
As a kid I couldn’t help but watch and re-watch all these Looney Tunes specials. It got so bad that I found myself walking down the street and reciting the entire script.

I just finished listening to this show. While recording, I felt like it was gonna be disappointing but after listening I have to say that I’m happy with the results. Weird.

here where I live there is a really good Indian Restaurant that has a buffet during lunch time. Definitely quality Indian Cusine.
January 24th, 2006 at 3:02 pm
Same thing here where I am, lots of good Indian Restaurant places that offer buffet for lunch…dangerous….yum…Chicken Tikka Masala.

MG: I’m offended by your comments about our fellow Indian brothers.
January 24th, 2006 at 11:44 pm
HAHAHA great voicing, Manong, I was sniggering the whole time. My favorite line of all time is “It’s flat like a panke-ek!” (answer to “the world is a-round!”) and the best character is Sylvester Jr.
Yay 2 more years of… domain! Yay!!!

MG: How does Swagat’s roti compare to Banana Leaf’s?
January 25th, 2006 at 1:08 am
MG: No snideness in the voice comment. And it’s not just when you sing your signature song; it’s also when you change your voice. That’s what makes your show perfect as a podcast (rather than as a a blog).
KFX: In your case it’s your laugh (complete with echo), your eventually stolen sig songs, and your emotion-filled sentence enders.
Looks like “Best Voice” should go to a show, rather than to an individual.

Fudd: I’m going to kill the wabbit!
Bugs: Oh mighty warrior t’will be quite a task
How will you do it, might I enquire to ask?
Fudd: I will do it with my spear and magic helmet!
Bugs: Your spear and magic helmet?
Fudd: Spear & magic helmet!
Bugs: Magic helmet?
Fudd: Magic helmet!
Bugs: Magic helmet
Fudd: Yes, magic helmet and I’ll give you a sample….
I also love Rabbit of Seville.
Welcome to my shop
Let me cut your mop
Let me shave your crop!

January 25th, 2006 at 3:29 am
Obet, why would we look down there? XP
January 26th, 2006 at 11:08 am
Manong Guard,
I love a good roti and dip it in a good curry. Mmmmm.
You’ve mentioned about chicken skin. Where can I get a good BBQ “pwet ng manok” (didn’t want to say the English name) in Manila and a good chicaron manok. You see, I’ve been eating well here in U.S. so when I come back to Manila next month, I need some shot of “cholesterol-induced” Filipino cuisine.
Thanks for telling me that The Essence has NO health benefits. I better tell my mom to stop drinking it.

Now that American Idol is back, hope you can mention this in your podcast. We have a Pinoy idol who qualified last night. He got the approval of all three judges (even Simon was impressed) of Jose Penala. Watch out for him and support our Pinoy Idol during the voting.
January 26th, 2006 at 11:56 am
parochial! hahaha! yah… obviously I’ve heard only the latest episodes of Heppa Contessa. Guilty me.
Yes, fried chicken skin kills. But it just tastes yummy. Once every two weeks won’t hurt, would it? awww.
My favorite Looney Tunes episode… Bugs Bunny as the orchestra conductor, and Elmer Fudd as the opera singer. I also remember those Daffy Duck World War 2 episodes where Daffy bounces going “Whoo-hoo! Who-hoo-hoo! Whooo-hoo!” while being chased by Hitler’s soldiers.
And this classic clip too…

Somehow, I find the pictures posted getting scarier and scarier… first the black chicken, now the taz pic.
There’s a cheap induin cuisine resto (looks like a carinderia but it’s popular) somewhere along the side streets of Timog Ave. (past Tomas Morato). I just forgot the name of the place. I like Kebabs over at Quezon Ave corner West Ave. That placed is almost always jam packed and with convenient? triple parking accommodations.
January 26th, 2006 at 7:54 pm
Sheesh ! I have so many typos in my last post… is there a way I could edit my post ? if not, forgive the typos above.
Whatsup everybody ? Thanks for the shoutouts Manong Guard & Kid Flash X
The KFX NYC tshirt is slowly becoming my fave shirt. I don’t think people get to see the little live.usa.ph print unless I place my chest on their face…and I’d get slapped or arrested by a security guard for harassment.
January 26th, 2006 at 8:50 pm
Personally, I would really like to see the KFX NYC in “action”. Picture naman. Haha.

I am actually a lover of Bollywood films … only the ones that have Heather Graham and Marissa Tomei in them, though.

MG: A great Hindu film is Ashoka. Funny that both our latest shows poke some light fun at our curry lipped brothers.

Obet,
I just came from a meeting with an excellent Indian guy. Very interesting their culture. I’m actually recently very interested in their ways.

Banana Leaf rocks! Their roti is the best I’ve tasted (granted that I haven’t tasted many). I got an education in Indian cuisine this afternoon. Apparently, the Indian Cuisine served here in Manila (Swagat, Little Bombay?) is Northern Indian fare. The southrons eat mostly rice with their Mesalas and Beryanis.

BANANA LEAF!!!!!
Chicken ass or “isol” can be found in most Chicken Bacolod places of any flavor… and yes they even serve chicken skin. But man, don’t go bloating up the way the Manong has. That shit’s bad for you.
Speaking of asses… my comment about the essence of chicken has no foundation whatsoever. I really don’t know if it offers any benefits. I’m not that smart, really. I’m just speaking out of my ass.

What’s so scary about Taz? Especially when he’s next to a sexy beast like moi.
I forget the name of that Timog Ave place but there’s also this one along Q Ave near Delta called “Mister Kebab”. I don’t think either one of those are Indian places, though.

So which one do we like? The Bro or Manssiere?
January 29th, 2006 at 12:42 am
Oh yeah… my bad… i was thinking about Persian food. sowee
Know anywhere (in Manila) where you can eat Russian food ?
January 30th, 2006 at 2:19 am
I enjoy reading the comments.. It’s just as entertaining as the show itself.

Uy MG, Kid Flash is right naman about asking if indian food was served on metal plates! Where I am, there’s an indian resto that does that. Well, most of them do, I believe.
February 2nd, 2006 at 6:58 am
Hmmm… You know what… you are probably right, Anne. Went to Prince of Jaipur last night. Very fancy. Very expensive. The Eggplant Mesala was in a metal bowl.

Why is it, I wonder? Other than it being for aesthetic reasons only.
