Okay, okay… comment… and I may sound like the biggest snob here. I think one reason why it’s the “exotic” ones that foreigners end up with is because the women will do ANYTHING for the guy. Cook, clean, kulang na lang bathe him. Parang katulong tuloy labas noh? The thing is, sad to say, I feel that the foreigners are being fooled. Everyone wants a chance to leave the Phils. And the ticket is to marry someone with a foreign nationality. So who’s really getting used here…?

Dagdag lang… Basically, I think American women are so independent that most of them really wouldn’t be the typical wife we have there in Manila. I think that’s why American men are attracted to “exotic” women kasi nga they will bend their backs as far back as they want them to. Again, just so they can have the chance to leave Manila and have a better future. It may not be really about the looks. Although I have noticed that majority are “exotic beauties”. Maybe it has something to do with knowing that you are not as attractive as the others so you gotta work it in some other ways…

Exotic can be broken down like this:
1) Dark poor ugly whores like those chicks in Robinsons Ermita
2) Half white poor whores in Pampanga
3) Dark rich chicks like Wilma Doesnt (who used to be poor)
4) Half white rich chicks like Francine Prieto (real name Anne Marie Falcon w/ a size 12 show who has a bitchy mother)

hahaah, natawa ako dun sa unproudly filipino. Try goin to the malls and u can see a lot of foreigners with “exotic woman”. I asked some of my friends about why foreigners go out with exotic woman and all they can is “siguro magaling yan”…teheheheh

You can thank the show for making “exotic” a bad word. Hehehe. Seriously though, there is such a thing in literature called “Exoticism” which refers to the creation of novelty in a literary piece simply by discussing situations, people, places, things that are considered exotic. To be more specific, there is a movement of “Orientalist” literature which supposedly sells only due to the fact that it discusses foreign (Asian) predicaments and not due to the merit of the written work.

The way it’s used here is superficialy. A euphemism pa nga. For blacks they call this Jungle Fever. That’s why I don’t think Obet’s link leads to an “Exotic Beauty”. Hay… it’s hard to explain and still be PC.
