Pizza Hut Bistro, Pinoy Rickey
We’re breaking up. Yup. Heheh. Because Manong Guard talks a lot, we have decided to post multiple podcasts instead of one long one. Expect the rest of the show during the week, but for now… live@usa.ph - Episode XVII Part 1
Synopsis:
- Hepa Contessa: Pizza Hut Bistro
- Blog Feature: Pinoy Rickey
Duration: 18 minutes

Hello Gentle Listeners,
Ayos ba kayo diyan? If you noticed, we are trying out a different format for our shows. To satisfy those of you who want your “LIVE” fix to come more often than once a week, we are trying this happy compromise. Expect to download each episode in 3 separate parts. These will come on different days of any given week so that you’ll have something to listen to at least every other day.
For those who wanted a longer show, on the other hand, you are getting that too. Each taping actually lasts for a little more than an hour which means that we have been editing out a lot of our material due to our 33 minute rule. Sometimes there are so many gems in our conversations that we can’t help but feel cheated when we edit ourselves. So now you’re getting about 1.5 hours of “Live” evey week. Isn’t that so much better.
An added advantage is that KF does not have to edit away his life “for the love of the show”. It becomes more free-form, from here onwards. I think this is an opportune time to make the material rawer given that we have more or less gotten used to doing the show. We’re not too concious anymore… we are more honest and real… i’d like to think.
Lastly, please make sure you give us your feedback about the new format. Does it work for you or doesn’t it? Any suggestions? We conceptualized this show to be our hobby, to speak about us more than anything else, but all of you, our listeners, have taken over the life of our show. It is now not just about us (MG and KF), but it is now about US (MG, KF, and the LIVE GANG). We would not have it any other way.
I sound like a sap and a greeting card. I should start writing lyrics for Yasmien now. Hope to hear from you. Excuse me, I have to shoot myself in the head now.

I subscribed to your podcast through iTunes, I didn’t get the most recent one downloaded today. Does iTunes “grab” your podcast directly from your site? Is there a setting I need to change? I thought it downloads automatically…?

It should download the show automatically in iTunes. If not, you can always click on “get episode” in itunes.

I just saw the episode in my podcast folder. Thanks ha!
I have to comment on the Pizza Hut Bistro. It’s a strange vision sitting in a restaurant with a fine dining look tapos pizza yung sine-serve nila? But then ManongGuard did say they serve other food in their menu. Di ko lang ma-imagine that type of setting at a pizza place.

I see what you did–in the style of Kuya Germs, you divided up the once-a-week GMA Supershow into the shorter That’s Entertainment to accommodate your starlets. It’s cool because it means a longer show for me. Yay!
Hey last year in September, I went to the Pizza Hut in Megamall and was suprised at the new “format” too–I remember the waiter being extra helpful in explaining the menu. I was just so pissed off because after asking about all the different kinds of “stuffed crusts” and deciding on one, we were served the plain crust. Sabay sabi, “ah, stuffed crust ba yung gusto nyo?” Labo. I didn’t like the soup, too. But once while waiting outside Pizza Hut Park Square, they gave my dog a cardboard hat. So OK na kami.

Yo MG & KF,
We have also received comments to spread out our shows because the files are too big for Philippine listeners. Most people are still on dial up.

Our show just got too long. The shorter shows are also easier for me to edit — and I’m no longer editing really. We air almost everything now.

Nice review on Pizza Hut Bistro.. was able to eat at the Gateway, Cubao branch and the Gateway foodcourt has a trimmed-down, cafeteria-like display… I like their new selections… much more to choose from than various types of pizza.
As for Vina Morales, unfortunately, during the couple of times I’ve seen her performed up close, she does sweat. The first time was understandable because she did a hot Beyonce dance number… During her most recent album launch, she had an extremely huge spotlight centered on to her like a gun with the crossbow target set directly to her face.
Whether she sweats or not, I don’t mind. She’s still a very talented performer. Of course you can check out pics over at my site. The coolest pic I took of her can be found here:

And her latest album launch pics are here:

You can decide about the sweat issue based on the pics:
Teka…overplugging na ako… topic at hand naman eh..hehehehe !
