I use Soy Sauce for Nilaga also and it tastes good hahaha… at least for me…

  2. ManongGuard Says:

    Hmmm… weirdos

  3. EJ Says:

    …and artichoke adobo isn’t weird?

  4. Click Mo Mukha Mo! » Blog Archive » Who The Hell is Lara? A Pinoy Blog About Nothing Says:

[…] Click Mo Mukha Mo got featured on Live from USA. Philippines, zine blog podcast by these two guys. They mentioned the wifey’s blog, who’s been following SYTYCD to its bitter, anti-climactic end. Emer’s blog which apparently caused some confusion what he talks about and whether he’s a law student or a law professor (FYI, Emer’s a law-student). They mentioned Mirsbin’s blog which is getting more active now that she has decided to make that leap of faith and quit her job to do what she loves best: cooking (best of luck Mirs!). And last but not the least how Kanto Girl Blues hasn’t updated. (ahem, paging XKG) […]

  5. ManongGuard Says:

    Oh… well… that’s different…

  6. EJ Says:

I knew it. You’re in a class of weird all your own. :D

  7. Jay Says:

Hey guys, nice podcast this week… ok, i’m biased cause you guys read my e-mail. :)

Titik Pilipino is really more of an online music news magazine than a lyrics site which is why you couldn’t find any Yasmien Kurdi lyrics. For Kid Flash X’s delight, here are a ton of her pics:

What a coincidence you also featured Mark’s clickmomukhamo.com. He’s my batchmate and college kabarkada, and his site was an online journal way before the term “blog” was even popularized.

Thanks for answering my question. I just downloaded Skype and will check out the other pieces of software you guys mentioned.

    Happy eating !

  8. Edwin & Cherry Says:

Hey guys! Last post we sent you about MYMP,ok we kinda like them coz they are new to us and they sound like moonstar 88 which is a good band (cutie cutie vocals) but Hale is one of my top ten most hated new bands (just heard a few songs after your podcast. the lyrics are so lame!!! Bamboo’s comeback is a big surprise and it’s all well worth the wait (is he clashing against his old band?) anyway we like them both… you forgot to tell about True Faith, are they still active?

  9. Edwin & Cherry Says:

    re: Pork adobo contest

I think the recipies are all the same the only difference is on how you cook it (tantyahan ba) or depends on your preferences: I don’t know about you but my wife’s recipe includes garlic, onion, toyo, suka, laurel, paminta, potatoes and of course the pork meat ( pork belly is the best!)

  10. Jay Says:

Bamboo and Rivermaya are actually all friends… no clashing nor regrets on both ends. They’re both diverse and unique in their own ways.
True Faith is actually on their US tour now.. You can check our http://www.truefaith-ustour.com for more details on their schedule.

MYMP is talented. I hope they release original songs than covers though for their next album.

For OPM lyrics, you can check out my friend’s site at http://www.opmlyrics.tk

Teka, I may be going offtopic from the podcast.

  11. ManongGuard Says:

Suddenly I don’t like you too much, Jay. hehehehe. I would agree on the Rivermaya and Bamboo comments. I think these are two bands who have uniquely international-grade sounds. Where e-heads and Parokya would probably whip their behinds on a local scale, Bamboo and Rico Blanco are professional artists who have all the elements necessary for success in the world arena: command of the english language, topics that everyone can relate to, and musicality up the wazoo.

MYMP still sucks, IMHO. Top that off with the fact that they were recently featured as unprofessional and feeling-sikat by one of the more popular blind items in a prestigious periodical.

True Faith I simply hate because I think they’re overly sentimental. And I hate them for capitalizing on the novelty that getting a midget as a vocalist affords them. Kawawa naman si Medwin.

  12. Prof. Umbridge Says:

FYI, I am a woman. Don’t you guys read Harry Potter? But thanks for greeting me.. =)

Manong guard, at least Yasmien is a very good singer. I’m siding with Rickey on this issue. The song melody is great. I know… I know… I know… =)

  13. Jeric Says:

OMG! My podcast is included on the links!

  14. james Says:

o ano na nanyari sa adobo recipes? me nagsend ba? ano itsura ng tshirt, me mukha nyo? ahihi, i want that.
dati me katrabaho ako na nagchicken adobo e. ang sarap ng pucha tapos nalaman ko na ‘estufao’ pala yun sa chamorro (guamanians), wala naman akong recipe. tka ma-search nga..

    *googles*
hmm, wala naman special ingredient e. pero ayun na yata ang pinakamasarap ng adobo na natikman ko. parang me smoky, sweet whole other layer to it, a ewan, hindi ko mapaliwanag.
    (kawalang-kwenta ng comment ko, ne’)
what soy sauce do you use rickey?

  15. Kid Flash X Says:

    Toyomansi

  16. ManongGuard Says:

    Prof. Umbridge,

Good singer my ass! And can you believe the lyrics of that song? Stupid as hell!

Anyway, on Harry Potter: I have the first 4 books somewhere in the darkest corners of my library at home. Bought them in one massive book purchase along with so many other titles. I read the first and the second books and found them okay… a little too saccharine and a little too CS Lewis-hackish but overall okay.

I couldn’t bring myself to read the next books, though. There are simply too many books that are more worthwhile. Plus, the popularity gets to me. Everyone who has read HP suddenly think they are part of the Literati.

    Write back.

    ManongGuard

  17. Prof. Umbridge Says:

She’s a great singer! She’s a soprano. She sings in church also. You should watch SOP and replays of the Starstruck finale. Eeeekkk!!! I can’t believe I’m revealing my jologs side for all the world to read….

As for the Harry Potter craze, I’m also irritated at those people who feel important and cultured just because they read Harry Potter. I read Harry Potter for fun. Period.

Prof. Umbridge is in Book 5. She’s the ultimate b*tch. She made Harry write words on the back of his palm until it drew blood. Now, that was cool!

ManongGuard, I’ll wait for your next unproudly pilipino. You promised to feature “loveteams.” I have lots to say on this issue. Ooppsss.. here I go again… j-o-l-o-g-s hehehe…

  18. Kid Flash X Says:

Professor! Manong Guard and I just finished the show, and we didn’t cover love teams… but we did talk about you. Haha. Please give me 24 hours to get the podcast ready. Thanks.

  19. ManongGuard Says:

Yeah Ms. Umbridge. We did talk about you. I wasn’t ready to talk about loveteams… maybe next week. hehehe

  20. balbonics Says:

Mmm… egg custards, yumm. I also miss kababayan–sarap.

  21. adel Says:

oh my God! ManongGuard singing that Yasmien Kurdi song made me really laugh out loud! wahahaha! good one… :D
